How much does an abortion cost?

The specific cost of an abortion depends on the type of procedure and the gestational age of the baby. The price of the abortion procedure rises as the pregnancy progresses. Price also varies by provider.

Typical Cost of an Abortion in PA:

  • Abortion Pill / Chemical Abortion (within 10 weeks gestation): $400-$600
  • Suction Aspiration / Vacuum Abortion (6-12 weeks gestation): $350-$600
  • Dilation and Curettage (13-16 weeks gestation): $850-$1650
  • Dilation and Evacuation (17-21 weeks gestation): $1650-$2100

Remember, providers’ prices for the abortion procedure may not cover all medical services — additional charges may come from sonograms, blood tests, prescription medications and anesthesia

YOU MAY NOT NEED AN ABORTION

HOPE Pregnancy Center Provides FREE Pregnancy Consultations

Every woman facing unplanned pregnancy needs a medical intervention to answer these questions before a final pregnancy outcome can be determined:

  1. Am I really pregnant? About 1 in 5 pregnancies end on their own, most often before 7 weeks.
  2. How far along am I? Gestational age determines the cost & type of abortion you could be eligible for.

HOPE Pregnancy Center can confirm whether you are truly pregnant, how far along you are, and if your pregnancy is viable with a free ultrasound.

HOPE Pregnancy Center is Objective and Will Not Judge You

We are a non-profit organization and are not dependent on funds generated by patient medical insurance to provide services. Because of this, we can provide truly unbiased information and one-on-one, personal, compassionate care and support. We exist to help you make an informed decision based on facts about pregnancy, parenting, abortion and adoption. Pregnancy decisions are too important to leave your experience to a rushed, clinical conversation and a waiting room where you feel like a number.

HOPE will Engage, Equip and Empower You, Not Pressure You.

A recent study reported that 74% of American women who had abortions said that they did not receive adequate counseling beforehand. 59% felt pressured by others. Abortionists only profit from one of your pregnancy options and encourage you to make abortion seem like the best choice.

At HOPE, our purpose is your health. Our clients are empowered to make the choice that’s right for them.

HOPE Pregnancy Center does not perform or refer for abortions.

We are committed to serving all women, men, and families regardless of age, race, religion, ethnic background, living situation, and health or immigration status.
